The Best Perennials for Your Garden

Perennials are plants that come back year after year and lives for more than two years. These plants grow and bloom over spring and summer, die back in autumn and winter and regrow again. Some are short lived and others are long, such as shrubs and trees. These are good for gardeners, who don't want to buy plants every year. If you are struggling for which ones to choose for your own garden, here are a few.
Serbian Bellflower
This is a semi- evergreen trailing perennial, with lavender coloured star shape flowers. This is a beautiful flower that is versatile and easy to grow and looks great in hanging baskets and containers.
Lily of the valley
This is a simple, elegant and dainty looking flower. This plant multiplies quickly to form a ground cover in shaded areas. Beautiful looking, but toxic if eaten!
Pink Thrift
This plant copes well under strong sun, with minimal water. This is easy to grow and looks beautiful in any garden, with its vibrant pink shade. This flower looks best when planted in large amounts and this perennial is quite low maintenance, which is what every gardener wants to hear.
Blazing Star
Another beautiful pink perennial that does well with lots of sun, with the capability to grow up to 5 feet and is sure to stand out from the crowd. This plant is tough and very easy to grow- another great bonus.
Itoh Peony 'Bartzella'
This stunning yellow flower, has a small purple flare in the centre and is certainly an eye catcher. These plants are good growers, with very strong stems.
Dwarf English Lavender
Not only does it smell wonderful, it looks wonderful too. Who doesn't love lavender? This particular variation of lavender looks great in boarders, due to it being short.
